About Us

I started the deli 40 years ago. My name is Giorgio Viola, but all my friends know me as George “The Butcher.” I was born in Sicily and came to America when I was 12 yrs old, always having the dream to one day own my own business. At the age of 14 yrs old, I started the apprenticeship of becoming a butcher.  At the age of 21, I opened Hacienda Village Meats and Italian Deli. My father joined 3 yrs later, and we made it a family business. It has been my pleasure to serve the great community of Hacienda Heights. My wife Silvia, our daughter Giovanna and I are grateful for all the wonderful customers and all the great times we have had and continue to have to serve our customers. Thank you all.
